Online Go with a neural network
govgo.ru
A gaming platform: live games against other players, play against the KataGo neural network, tsumego puzzles, game review, joseki, tournaments and a rating system. It works as an app on your phone.
Running and open for play.
What is inside
- Live games against other people
- The KataGo neural network runs on the player's own device
- Several difficulty levels, from beginner to a strong opponent
- Game review and daily puzzles
- Player ratings
- Installable on a phone and works offline
- Joseki library and tournaments — in development
How it is built
The project's most interesting decision: the neural network runs in the browser, not on the server. So the site has strict code execution isolation, and the game scales its workload to the device — a phone computes lightly, a powerful PC goes full tilt. Server capacity does not grow with the number of players.
- Node.js
- Fastify
- React
- KataGo (WASM/WebGPU)
- WebSocket
- PWA
What the client gets
- Heavy computation can move to the user's device — no server bill for it
- Real-time games with no page reloads
- A phone app without publishing to app stores
- Full autonomy: no third-party scripts or external services
What we show on the demo
- A live game against an opponent or the neural network
- Automatic workload tuning to the device
- Game review and puzzles
- Installing the app on a phone
Why this matters for business
- The cost of AI features barely grows with traffic
- User data never leaves for a third party
- The site stays fast with no external dependencies
How we work. Developers and AI agents work together on our projects: agents take the routine — breaking down the task, coding, checks, drafting copy — while decisions and accountability stay with a human. That is why we take on tasks that usually scare studios, faster and with less stress.
